Dear Valued and Respected Patient,

We are pleased to share that Three Chelsea Docs + One has transitioned to a new electronic medical record system through athenahealth. This enhanced platform improves communication, streamlines processes, and allows us to serve you more efficiently.

Our updated patient portal allows secure messaging with your physician or clinical staff, uploading of insurance and identification cards, entry of current medications, requests for non-controlled medication refills, and appointment requests.

To ensure our physicians have adequate time to care for you thoughtfully and thoroughly, appointments cannot be scheduled directly through the portal. All appointment requests will be reviewed by our staff prior to confirmation. Please allow 1–2 business days for portal responses. If more than three business days pass without a reply, you may contact our office directly.

Our system does not automatically populate medication lists. If you have not been seen since February 1, 2026, please enter your current medications and doses into the portal to help ensure accurate and safe prescribing.

Our refill policy remains unchanged. Non-controlled medications may be refilled if you have been seen within the past year and have had no significant medical changes. Controlled substances require an appointment.

Forms for upcoming visits will be sent through the portal whenever possible. Completing these in advance reduces wait times and allows your physician to review important information prior to your visit.

We will use the portal for appointment reminders, office updates, health maintenance reminders, annual visit notifications, and normal lab or radiology results. We are transitioning away from mailed lab and imaging results and will rely on the portal for these communications.

While our technology is evolving, our care remains personal, attentive, and individualized. These updates strengthen our ability to provide the highest quality medical care to our valued community.
