Dr. Patrias' health care team will provide patient centered, relationship oriented, academically excellent care.
Dear Patient,
At our practice, the goal of our entire staff is to be of service to you. We are committed to supporting your health and well-being and working with you to help you achieve your healthcare goals. Our hope is that you feel truly cared for and comfortable here—that this becomes a medical home where you feel both supported and understood. We deeply value each of our patients.
Good care begins with a strong partnership. Our physicians and staff work closely together to provide timely, thoughtful, and coordinated care. We encourage you to schedule your annual health maintenance exam approximately six months in advance to ensure availability. We also hold time in our schedule for acute or urgent needs so that, in most cases, we can see you when those situations arise. We aim to be responsible with our scheduling, respecting your time and ensuring you can access the care you need.
We safeguard your privacy and maintain your medical records in strict confidence. Your health information will never be shared without your written consent, unless required by law.
Our physicians continually maintain and update their medical knowledge to provide you with the highest standard of care. We will always listen carefully, incorporate your perspective into decision-making, and provide you with as much information as we can to support your understanding and choices.
We are committed to providing excellent care in the most cost-effective manner possible, while never compromising our shared goals.
Over time, many patients have asked how they can best partner with us in their care. The most important thing you can do is to be thorough and prepared. Bring any outside medical records with you, and consider writing down your questions in advance of your appointment. If you need prescription refills, let us know. Our care is most effective when we’re able to understand your full medical story.
As a courtesy, our office will call you two days prior to your appointment to remind you. If you’re unable to keep your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we may offer that time to another patient. Appointments that are missed or canceled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a $50 cancellation fee.
Occasionally, patients request medical advice or a diagnosis by phone. While we understand the convenience of this, we believe the best medical decisions are made in person. For that reason, we may ask you to schedule an appointment so we can evaluate your concern more thoroughly.
In keeping with our office policy, we do not refill prescriptions for controlled substances—such as narcotics, ADHD medications, and benzodiazepines—without an appointment. This allows us to ensure that your medications remain safe and effective for your care.
Unless otherwise arranged by your physician, you can expect to receive results from tests and labs within two weeks. If you have not received them by then, please call our office.
Our phone lines are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We often see patients beyond these hours as needed.
If you have an urgent issue outside regular office hours, you may reach your physician by cell phone. Many of our physicians also provide an email address for brief, non-urgent questions or other mutually agreed-upon communication. Routine prescription refills are best handled during scheduled appointments. However, if you find yourself unexpectedly running low on a medication (other than a controlled substance), please call us and allow a full business day for your pharmacy and physician to process the request. We do require that you be seen at least once a year in order for us to continue filling medications over the phone.
Warm regards,
